How do we determine what our natural diet is?

Imagine that you are the last person on the earth, you have no tools or weapons.

What would you eat to survive?

The answer to this question is the answer to what your natural diet is. If you would not be able to eat it without a weapon or a tool then it is not your food!

  1. I came across your site about our natural diet but the content was a little sparse. One thing you can mention that our natural diet is not one that comes from a factory, nor is it wrapped in plastic, nor purchased at a supermarket. One thing is certain humans are the only animals who have become 100% dependent on outside intervention in order to sustain our eating. Consider the 7 countries that make up the United Arab Emirates, and other oil producing Middle East countries. They are sustained by oil revenues. and with this money the fly in their produce from all over the world. But if an energy crisis comes along, they’ll have to return to eating dates and camel milk!

  2. I have heard about the if it can’t be found in nature it’s not healthy and if it’s man made it’s not healthy sayings but this one is news to me. I’m not sure what I could eat if I was the last person on earth in my home country. I would probably die when the winter comes (it’s very cold in Finland)!

    1. Thank you for the comment. Actually I don’t think any of us would be living where it is cold. I believe that we are tropical creatures.

  3. This is a beautiful website. The images make me want to dive into your recipes!

    I do not need a weight loss diet, but I do need a healthier diet, due to autoimmune disorders and more.

    With your credentials and training, do you know if the same recipes work for everyone, or should there be individualized changes made?

    1. Hi Eileen! Thank you for the comment and question. These smoothies are for everyone. They have everything we need in them. Weight loss is just a side effect for those that have weight to lose. I always tell people to eat when they are hungry and don’t when they are not. It’s the best policy but if you want to follow more of a structured diet I recommend getting the Challenge Kit. It has charts and online tool recommendations for planning and following a ‘Calories per day’ schedule. Its a good guide for adding a smoothie or two to your daily diet.
